John Munch (b. 31 July, 1951) was a male Sergeant assigned to the Special Victims Unit in NYPD until his resignation from SVU in 2013.
Sometime between 2016 and 2023, Munch retired from his investigator role, went back to Baltimore, regained his old bar, and got married again, this time to a divorced Rabbi.
By 2024, Munch had passed away from an unspecified cause. After celebrating the christening of Amanda Rollins and Dominick Carisi, Jr.'s son, Fin was reminded of Munch and he, Carisi, and Benson shared a toast honoring his memory.
